Johnny Garie Browning, 79, of Dublin, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Lewis Gale Pulaski Hospital. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and retired machinist at the Lynchburg Foundry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berlin and Eula Browning; and sons, John Brent Browning and Garie Browning.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Browning; sons and daughter-in-law, Barry Browning of Christiansburg, Bryan and Brandy Browning of Salem, and Randy, Roger and Mark Brookner; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Scott Dixon of Charlotte, N. C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Connie Ray and Nina Browning of Floyd, Darrel D. Browning of Ariz. and Marvin Browning of Wise; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bill Huband of Wise, Joyce Fleeman of Roanoke, Sandra Adams of Radford, and Berlena Browning of Clintwood; grandchildren, Jessica, Victoria and Jacob Browning, Addie Browning, Logan Brookner, Samantha Brookner, and Christopher and Justin Brookner, and Jessica Worrell; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
