John E. Buddy Vest, Jr., 88, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008 at his home in Radford. He was a member of Grove United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Hercules with 33 years of service. Survivors include his wife Johanna C. Vest; son and daughter-in-law, John E. Jack and Nancy E. Vest of Sand Springs, OK; two granddaughters, Nancy Elizabeth Vest and Robin Diana Vest and her husband, Brian Coleman; great grandson Alexander John Coleman, all of Brooklyn, NY.; niece, Margaret N. Schott of Chester, VA; and nephew, John Eccleston of Hampstead, MD. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Grove United Methodist Church in Radford with the Rev. Karen Lane officiating. Burial will be private. A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service.
