John "Johnny" Straley Hubble, Jr., 74, of Radford, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015. He served his community in their time of need for many years as both a Funeral Director and a life member of the Radford Fire & Rescue. He attended Unity Christian Church in Radford. He was a 1971 graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. He was a member of the VA May Masonic Lodge #38 A.F. & A.M. He was raised to Master Mason on July 29, 1976, Past Master VA May #38 (1979), Past High Priest Peyton Coles RAC29, current member of Pulaski RAC #39 and Blacksburg Commandry #39, Chaplin 8 years in VA May #38, Treasurer 8 years VA May #38, and performed an untold number of Masonic funeral services. He was the son of the late Straley and Lois Hubble. Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Shaheen and her special friend, Johnny Thompson; grandchildren, Tucker and Jackson Shaheen, and Laken St. Clair; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Joe Mannon; daughter's mother, Sybil Whitfield; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; former wife and her family, Betsy H. Hubble, John and Jennie Hull, Bobby Frey, Sophie Molaison, Terri and Allen Stanley, Laura Stanley and Sarah Stanley. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 and also from 12 Noon until 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Ersel Alderman and Rev. Tom Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford where members of VA May Masonic Lodge #38 A.F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic Graveside Rites.
