Joanne Eller Rickey, 81, of Radford, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church and retired after 25 years of working in sterile supply at Radford Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Fanney Eller, and her husband, Allen Bishop Rickey. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Allen and Rena Rickey of Radford, and Tony Gray Rickey of Christiansburg; grandson, Andrew Allen Rickey; brother, J. T. Eller of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Betty Hicks of Draper, Dorothy Sowers and Linda McDonald, both of Dublin, and Billie McNeil of Michigan; and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
