JoAnn "Jody" Dobbins Ratcliffe Jones, 77, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at her home in Radford. She retired from AT&T, was assistant postmaster, and a member of West Radford Church of God. Jody was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Ida Thornton Dobbins. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Barry E. and Lauri I. Ratcliffe of Kaufman, TX; granddaughters, Kayla (Jordan) Chambers of Kaufman, TX and Taylor Ratcliffe of College Station, TX; sister, Elsie D. Nester of Fairlawn; nieces Debbie (Gary) Nicewander of Parrott, Shelby N. Handy of Fairlawn, and Tammy Bane of Radford; special niece, Terri (Jeff) Hager of Belspring; special friends, Barbara Moore, Teresa Farley and Sylvia Ratcliffe; and special little friends Bailey and Mason Hager. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Danny Newman and Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
