Joan Ethel Wilson, 89, of Dublin, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Sycamore, Ill. and attended Heritage Church in Dublin. She retired from NIU after 15 years of service and was a professional dog groomer. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Revs. Charles G. Friedley and Lillian G. Friedley; her husband, Vernon Douglas Wilson; and sister, Betty Elliot. Survivors include her daughters, April Johnson (Nathan), and Cynthia Wilson; son, Mike Wilson (Judy); grandchildren, Tawnya, Joshua, Jonathon, Justin, and Zachery; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Lillian Hyre; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
