Jessie Edward Eddie Ratcliff, 77, passed away Monday, November 24, 2008. He was a member of the Radford Worship Center and retired from the City of Radford Electrical Department with 37 years of service. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Elsie Albert Ratcliff and two brothers, Emmett and Bobby Ratcliff. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marie Showalter Ratcliff of Radford; two daughters and sons-in-law Cathy and Philip Dalton of Pulaski, and Pamela and Darrell Duncan of Pilot; son and daughter-in-law Barry and Lori Ratcliff of Christiansburg; two grandchildren Jessica and Travis Ratcliff; a brother and sister-in-law Roger and Sheila Ratcliff of Radford; two sisters and brother-in-law Connie Owens of Radford and Bonnie and A. W. Spangler of Marion; and several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radford Worship Center with Pastor Hal Adams and Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contribution be made to either the Radford Worship Center or the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Association. The Ratcliff family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
