Jessie Hope Ferrell Hamby, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her home in Christiansburg. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hamby, son, Jeff Hamby, and two brothers, Philip and Charles Ferrell. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Robin Hamby of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters, Sarah Morgan of Johnson City, Tenn. and Ann Edwards of Cummings, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Marsha Hamby of Radford; grandchildren and their spouses, Mark, Jessica, Robbie and Rachel, Kim and Tim, and Heather; great-grandchildren, Kela and Macy; and many close friends. A special thank you for her caregivers Tina, Lee, Charlene, Donna, Samantha, Chealsea, Traci and Clara "Happy". Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Tina Cox officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Monte Vista Memorial Gardens in Johnson City, Tenn. with Rev. Aaron Pierce officiating.
