Jess Willard Cantline, 76, formerly of Radford, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a lifetime member of V. F. W. Post #776. He was the former Finance Director of the City of Radford. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Allen and Sarah Ann Cantline and a brother. Survivors include his wife, Barbara S. Cantline of Roanoke; sister, Eula Cantline Pleasants of Castle Hanes, NC; sister-in-law, Carolyn Cunningham of Salem; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 7 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Jim Walker officiating. VFW Post #776 will conduct military last rites following the service. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service Sunday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the VFW Post #776, 1303 Wadsworth Street, Radford, VA 24141. Private graveside services will be held Monday at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Roanoke. The Cantline family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
