Elder Jay Steve Harris, 74, of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Highland Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Dublin. He worked in sales and was the former pastor of Pulaski Primitive Baptist Church from March 1975 until October 2007 when he stepped down due to health issues. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Grant and Blanche Dalton Harris and a brother, Loy E. Harris. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Reba Hatfield Harris; son, Craig Harris of Dublin; and brother and sister-in-law, Hugh D. and Linda Harris of Winston-Salem, NC. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Pulaski Primitive Baptist Church on Newbern Rd, with Elder Don Singleton and Elder Norvell Mann officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
