Jason Christian Payne, 46, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was employed with Yokohama Tire for 21 years and was a lifelong, die hard NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nannie Elizabeth Payne; and grandson, Isaac Sheppard. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Sheppard Payne; daughters, Ananola Payne, Brooke Payne, and Lovevette Sheppard; sons, Shawn Payne, Travis Sheppard, Jacob Sheppard, Kevin Sheppard and Samuel Sheppard; grandchildren, Sophia Carrol, Isabell Sheppard, Annabella Turpin, Emma Sheppard, and soon to be Jayden Sheppard; father and stepmother, Anthony T. and Barbara Payne; sisters, Sandra Gallimore (Gary), Janice Spangler (Mark), Alicia Payne, and April Payne; brothers, Mike Bell (Cindy), and David Payne; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Compassion Church (formerly Radford Worship Center), 1820 Second St., Radford.
