Janice Colleen "Pooney" Martin, 78, of Radford, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013. For 40 years she was the proud business owner of the Pizza House in Radford where she was well known for "Pooney's pizzas." She was born June 4, 1934 to Noah Floyd and Nellie Lovell Martin. She grew up in the Snowville community. Both parents preceded her in death as well as sisters Billie Martin Graham and Roxie Martin Hood, and two brothers Richard Lincoln and Willam (Jim) Guilford. Survivors include her brother, Everett Martin of Walkertown, NC; long time close friends of the family, Susie Peters, Ashley Mooney and "Granny's best buddy" Trey Wyatt; Betty Martin of Dublin; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Services will be private.
