Janet Faye Baldwin Short, 76, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at her home in Pulaski. She was a member of the First Church of God of Dublin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Eva Baldwin; and her twin sister, Janice. Survivors include her husband, George C. Short of Pulaski; sons and daughters-in-law, Montgomery "Monte" and Sharon Short of Franklin Co., and Bruce Eric and Leah Short and Edward Ernest and Traci Short, all of Dublin; daughters and sons-in-law, Lorilyn and Daniel Pomerhn of Pulaski, and Eva May and Alpheus Atkins of Franklin Co.; brothers, Thomas, Richard, Harry, and Morris; sisters, Norma, Lynne, and Karen; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with Pastor Alpheus Atkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
