James Clark Wade, 82, husband of Patty Scott Wade, passed away at his home in Montgomery County on Friday, May 21, 2021. He was the son of the late James D. and Hazel S. Wade. In addition to his wife of 61 years, he will be missed and remembered by his children Russell C. Wade, Sarah Wade Underwood (Bob), Perry R. Wade (Anna), and Mark D. Wade (Myra); grandchildren, Daniel Wade Underwood (Shanon), Jamie M. Underwood, Hailey M. Wade, James D. Wade, and Josie A. Wade; great-grandchild, Millie B. Underwood; sisters, Rachel White, the late Bevin Marshall, Joan Heffron, and Glenna Mitchell; and his brother, Roger Wade. J.C. worked at the Radford Arsenal for 32 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Riner Rescue Squad, 1610 Auburn School Dr, Riner, VA 24149. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Big Sand Cemetery in Floyd.
