James "Jim" Sheridan Jackson, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at his home in Radford. He was a retired contractor and a member of the Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Jeanne Jackson; infant son, Joe Mack Jackson; and brother-in-law, Jerry McCain. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Jackson; sons, Jon, Jody and Jarred Jackson; daughters, Jillian Jackson (Jackson), and Jazz Jackson Stone (Issy); grandchildren, Jordan, Jamie, Joby, Stryder and Kolby Jackson; great granddaughter, Melanie Jackson; sisters, Carolee Bondurant, Jeanne A. Jackson (Paul), and Lisa A. S. Jackson; brothers, Dr. Don V. Jackson, Jr. (Davie), and Mark M. Jackson (Vickie); brother-in-law, Joey McCain (Linda); sisters-in-law, Judy Appel (Jens), and Jeanne Cloninger (Dave); many nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
