James W. Jim Farmer, formally of Radford, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 in Chesapeake. He is survived by a daughter Ramona Wicker of Chesapeake; a son, James Jamie Farmer and his wife Marcia, of Va. Beach; four grandchildren, Renee? Lyna of Chesapeake, Brian Swisher and his wife Brandy of Newport News, and Emily and Amber Farmer of Va. Beach; and three great grandchildren Tara Lyna, Alec Edwards and Dylan Swisher. He is also survived by a sister Dolly Sadler of Narrows, and a brother, Bobby Farmer and his wife Eula of Radford. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Roland Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m Sunday at the funeral home. The Farmer family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
