Obituary

COYLE, James (Jim) Temple, formerly of Charleston, died peacefully on April 9th at his farm in Riner, VA, where he lived for 39 years with his wife of 57 years, Linda Donnally Coyle, after a prolonged illness. Arrangements are being handled by Mullins Funeral home (http://www.mullinsfuneralhome.com/) Born in Charleston, WV on January 19, 1932, he was the son of the late Lucy Green and George Lacy Coyle. Jim, along with his father and late brothers George and Tom Coyle ran the family business of Coyle and Richardsons before selling the business in 1972. Jim moved to Northern VA working for the Salvation Army and other non-profits before relocating to a farm where he resided for 39 years and ran his own businesses in the New River Valley of Southwest VA. A lifelong Presbyterian, Mr. Coyle was an active member or the Radford Presbyterian Church. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers a contribution be made there. (http://www.pcradford.org/) Jim is survived by his wife Linda, children James Coyle Jr. and wife Cheryl, Edwin (Ted) Coyle and wife Katherine, Mary Langhorn Coyle Evans and husband Jack and John Coyle and wife Holley Lord and 8 grandchildren, Evan Coyle, William Coyle, Elliott Coyle, Courtney Coyle, Davis Evans, Morgan Evans, Henry Coyle, and Annabel Coyle. He was predeceased by his brothers George Lacy Coyle, Jr. and Thomas Claiborne Green Coyle. Services will be held at 11am Thursday, April 14th, at Radford Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow at the family farm (4314 Piney Woods Rd., Christiansburg, VA) and graveside service to follow the next day at the Mt. View Cemetery at 1pm on Friday in Charleston, WV.
