James Richard Cox, Sr., 69, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home in Fairlawn. He was retired from Caterpillar Equipment and a member of Belspring Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Arizona Cox; and his wife, Myrna Likens Cox. Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Ferguson of Fairlawn; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Kaye Cox of Pulaski; stepsons and their wives, Logan and Amie Manis of Lexington, Bruce and Teresa Manis of Pulaski, and John Manis of Chilhowie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Harry B. (H.B.) Cox, Jr. of Pulaski; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Belspring Presbyterian Church with Kathy Hall CLP officiating. The family receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
