James Edward Claytor, 69 of Floyd, passed away Monday, April 11, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard W. Claytor and Oakley King Harris. Survivors include two sisters, Alverta C. Steptoe of Roanoke; and Diana H. Stewart of Vinton; one brother, Lewis T. Harris of Roanoke; three half-brothers and spouses, Howard and Marie Claytor of Institute, WVA; Lawrence and Carolyn Claytor of Nitro, WVA; Leonard and Pinkey Claytor of St. Albans, WVA; one half-sister, Doris Claytor of St. Albans, WVA; special nephew, Sherwin Chuck Henderson of Jonesboro, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Calvary Baptist Church in Floyd with Rev. Graham Mitchell officiating. The family request in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church Floyd, VA 24091. The family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home and Crematory in Radford.
