Jackson "Jack" Bishop, 67, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War where he received a bronze star. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Stanley Bishop, Sr. and Virginia Miles Bishop. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Stanley, Jr. and Joy Bishop of Roanoke; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth Wilson and Mary and Larry Hawkins, all of Dublin; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Scott and Valerie Adams of Shawsville. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with Dr. Paul Lane officiating.
