Irene Pannell Corvin, 88, of Radford, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015. She was retired from Verizon and a member of Unity Christian Church. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Eastern Star, Virginia May Lodge #92 She was born in Wythe County, October 27, 1926 to the late George Robert and Lettie Etter Pannell. She was also preceded in death her brother, "Sonny" Pannell; two sisters, Barbara P. Woodfield and Hazel P. Wiseley. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Manley Everett Corvin; brother and sister-in-law, Robert L. and Helen G, Pannell of Troutville; three nieces, Mabel W. Campbell of Midlothian, Agnes W. Williams of Floyd, and Linda P. Thomas of Pulaski; five nephews, James Pannell of Frisco, TX, Paul R. Pannell of Daleville, Randy Pannell of Troutville, Kevin L. Pannell of Paint Bank, and Keith W. Pannell of Troutville; and numerous great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and church family The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Sutphin Officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
