Ira Elizabeth Weeks (Johnny) Sutphin, 93, of Radford, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012. She was a member of Carter Street United Methodist Church and retired from Burlington Industries. She was preceded in death by her husband Muriel Clayton Sutphin. Survivors include her daughter Wanda Sue Hawley of Radford; grandson Joshua Christiaan Hawley of Chattanooga, TN; and great grandchildren Kody Christiaan Hawley Arianna Hawley; niece Sandra Robinett; nephews George and John Williamson; and several other nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
