Ira Wayne Hedge, 55, of Radford, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 25, 2013. He was a supervisor at Volvo Trucks with 29 years of service. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Mae Marshall Hedge, his grandparents, Oak and Susie Hedge, and uncle Maynard Hedge. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Karen Graham Hedge; daughter and sons-in-law, Brea and Matt Hopkins of Radford, and Katrina and Justin Dobbins of Draper; special grandson, Avery Hopkins; father and step mother, Bernard and Lola Hedge of Radford; brother and sister-in-law, Preston and Missy Hedge of Snowville; sister Bernetta Johnsson of Raleigh, NC; special nieces and nephew, Cody and Carley Hedge and Sarah Elizabeth Johnsson; and special family friend, David Arrington. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Neil Wood officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery in Floyd County. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening beginning at 4:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Snowville Fire Dept or the Snowville Baptist Church. The Hedge family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
