Ida Elizabeth Lawson Saunders, 94, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at her home in Radford after a long illness. She was a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Desmond "Tuey" Saunders and a grandchild Lee Saunders. Survivors include sons, Larry Saunders and friend Sarah Runyon and Desmond Saunders, Jr. and wife Jeanie, and daughters Martha Ann Thomas and Pam Jordan and her husband Jerry, all of Radford; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; and special friend Marty Altizer. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for their loving care. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the West View Cemetery in Radford with Rev.
