Howard "Pettie" Clifford Calvin Kimbleton took his heavenly flight from being blind and bedfast to being able to stroll the streets of Glory with his parents and friends, and being able to see his Lord and Savior and all of his loved ones on June 12, 2012. He had been unable to read his Bible, his one passion in life for many years, but was still able to recite most of Matthew 24. He was born to Lilly Mae Harkrader and Walter Robert Kimbleton on December 12, 1925. He was preceded in death by brothers Wilbert, Garland and Harry; and by sisters Helen, Louise, and Nancy. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Glenda Assad Kimbleton; two daughters and sons-in-law Shelia and Belden Gravely and Sabrina and Phillip Huff; one son and daughter-in-law Donald and Krista Yopp; four grandsons Michael, Daniel, Ray, and Joshua; one sister Ruth Whitlock; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Howard will be held at the Parrott Church of God at 7p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 with Rev. Eddie Dalton and Rev. Kenny Alley officiating.
