Howard H. B. Haynes, 73, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009. He attended Friendship Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife Janice Lyons Haynes; six sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Tish Haynes of Radford, Al and Kim Haynes of Charlotte, NC, Howard and Libby Haynes of Richmond, Earl and Maria Haynes of Lorton, James and Liz of Plant City, FL, and Roy Haynes of Christiansburg; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Phillips of Allisonia; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Haynes, Wayne and Joyce Haynes, and James and Peggy Haynes, all of Fairlawn; a sister and brother-in-law, Freda and Donnie Mullins of Jenkins, KY; 14 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jon Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Haynes family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
