Howard Daniel "Danny" Gardner, 53, of Radford, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Danny graduated from Radford High School in 1978 and began work at Volvo Trucks where he retired after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Howard Gardner and his aunt, Nancy Gardner Stewart. Survivors include his devoted sons, Christopher and Jason Gardner; grandchildren, Landon Kaybree Gardner; mother, Mary Ann Gardner; brother, Timothy Gardner of Atlanta, GA; mother of his children, Cindy H. Carroll; and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Radford Fire Dept, the Pulaski Fire Dept. Or Calvary Baptist Church Mission Fund. The Gardner family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
