Hobert Duncan, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at his home in Radford surrounded by his loving family. He attended New Hope Church of God and was a U. S. Army veteran having served during WWII. He retired from N & W. Railroad where he was a welder for many years. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pauline Moore Duncan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Leon Pettus of Christiansburg and Becky and Jerry Peterson of Radford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Tinker and Candy Duncan of Christiansburg and Randy and Debra Duncan of Radford; two brothers, Troy and Lincoln Duncan, both of Radford; two sisters, Clydie Morris of Dublin and Bertha Moore of Radford; five grandsons Kevin Kirk, Phillip and Dustin Duncan and Michael and Alex Duncan; a step-grandson Allen Stout; special nephew and niece, Silas and Diane Bain of Radford; and a special pet, Jill. The family would like to thank Gentle Shepherd Hospice of all their love and care during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the New Hope Church of God in Christiansburg with Rev. T. Michael Bond and Rev. James Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Peterson Cemetery in Pulaski County where members of V.F.W. Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The Duncan family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
