Herman Wayne Buckner, 62 of Radford, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007. He was preceded in death by his father, James Buckner, a brother, Daniel Buckner and both sets of grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Rachel Buckner of Radford; mother, Lula Sloan Harden of Princeton, WVA; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Rita Buckner of Bland, Robert and Geraldine Buckner of Bluefield, Tommy Buckner of Lexington, NC, and Alton and Debbie Buckner of Mich; two sisters, Brenda Myers and Belinda Dillon both of Princeton, WVA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Annie Edney; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Saturday, October 27 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fairlawn Church of God in Fairlawn with Rev. Jerry Buckner and Rev. Marcus Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the church. The Buckner family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
