Hensel Lee McCoy, 81, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and retired inspector with the Federal Aviation Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hensel Marshall and Anna Lee McCoy; wife, Audna Smith McCoy; sons, Tony and Jeff McCoy; brothers, Ricky and Haven McCoy; and sister, Mary Helen McCoy. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and James Wright of Roanoke and Debra Barr of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; sons, James Vernon McCoy and Brian McCoy, both of Roanoke; and 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
