Helen Maleita Harless Simpkins, 89, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at her home in Radford. She was a member of Radford Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her parents E. E. and M. Helen Weiss Harless; brothers, Richard, Warner and Robert Harless; and sisters, Thelma Harless, Ruth McPeak, Lora Worrell and Christine Hoback. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, George "Buster" Simpkins; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jackie Moore, and Linda and Kelly Southern; grandsons and their wives, Steven and Elizabeth Moore and Gregory and Lin Moore; granddaughters, Heather and Carrie Stultz; 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice and Sherry Long for the love and care she gave to Mother. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Dr. Hal Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
