Helen Bourne James, 92, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009. She was a member of the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church and retired teaching from Montgomery Co. and Pulaski Co. schools. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Dean James. Survivors include a son, Thomas D. James of Radford; three granddaughters, Natalie Karen Brogan and Sarah Annette Camper, both of Roanoke, and Caroline Noelle Hettman of New Kensington, PA; and three great grandchildren, Brandon Brogan, Noah Camper and Ashley Hettman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Woodard officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
