Helen Minor Gibson, 96, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at her home in Radford. She was a member of Grove United Methodist Church and an elementary school teacher for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert James and Lillian Baier Minor, husband, Robert Carl Gibson, and son, Carl Reed Gibson. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ted Bratton of Moneta; grandchildren and their spouses, Lynn and Andy Caudle of Christiansburg, and Elizabeth and Barry Zickuhr of Olympia, Wash.; and great grandchildren, Megan, Abby and Adam Caudle, and John Zickuhr. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
