Harry Lester Brown, 77, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at his home in Radford. He was a retired deputy with the City of Radford Sheriff's Dept. and served in the U. S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Madeline H. Brown of Radford; daughters, Pamela G. Caldwell of Oklahoma and Darla Jean Coffey of Arizona; sons, Harold A. Brown of Radford; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger Graves of Roanoke and Everette Graves, Jr. of Welch, WVa; and stepchildren, Martha Gail Harris of Gibsonville, NC, Elizabeth Kay Lavelle of Christiansburg, and Robert Freeman of Chilhowie. Memorial services will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Roger Graves and Rev. Danny Newman officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Radford Fire and Rescue, 1500 Wadsworth Street, Radford, VA 24141.
