Harry Lacy Adams, 77, of Tavares, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and served in the Army National Guard for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Lacy and Rena Davis Karnes Adams, and his wife, Nolie Kirby Adams. Survivors include his son, Harry Dennis Adams of Upper Marlboro, MD; a grandson and his wife, Lawson and Jennifer Adams of Clarksville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Kyle Adams; and a special friend, Ann Harper. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Bedford with Pastor Chris Smith officiating. Members of American Legion Lynchburg Post #16 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford. In case of inclement weather, the services will be held at the Tharp Funeral Home. The Adams family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
