Gretchen Pauline Phillips, 85 of Blacksburg, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007. She was a retired nurses aide at Heritage Hall. Survivors include a brother, Maynard Phillips of Radford; a sister, Nancy P. Mitchell of Radford; two nieces, Brenda Higgs and her husband Doug of Christiansburg, and Katherine Zehner and her husband Larry of Winder, GA; a nephew, Phillip Harris and his wife Debbie of Ashburn; and numerous other relatives. The family would like to thank Susie Lytton, Ann Rowell, Goldie Turpin, Win Howell, Debra French and Betty Mitchell for all their time and support during her illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in the Big Sand Cemetery in Floyd County. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday. The Phillips family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
