Gilda Gray Beamer Williams, 77 of Radford, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and was an accounting clerk at Hercules having retired after 41 years of loyal service. She was born December 2, 1930 in Narrows the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Albert Beamer. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Preston Beamer, Sr., and two sisters, Mabel B. Coyner and Margaret B. Kinzer. Survivors include her husband of 55 years George A. Williams, Sr.; a son and daughter-in-law, George A. Abie, Jr. and Debbie Williams; a daughter and son-in-law, Georgeanna and Harry D. Kimbleton; four grandsons, George A. Abram Williams, III, Robert Alden Williams, Samuel Harrison Williams and Anthony Ryan Kimbleton; two sisters, Dolores Beamer Showalter and Gaynell Beamer Wright; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Radford with Rev. O. D. Morgan and Rev. Brian Cockram officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Williams Family Endowed Scholarship Fund, Calvary Baptist Church Sixth and Robertson, Radford, Virginia 24141. The Williams family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
