Gertrude Shelburne Meredith, 91, of Radford, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. She was a member of Radford Church of Christ. Mrs. Meredith was born in Radford the daughter of the late Arthur William and Lucy Whitt Shelburne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Henderson Meredith. Survivors include her son, Phillip Merle Meredith of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Dana Michelle Brooks (Kevin) of Morristown, TN, Amanda Gayle Ressler (Craig) of Covington, GA, and Casey Diane Hoover of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren, Jayde Elizabeth Brooks, Heidi Camille Brooks, Lily Grace Brooks, Mya Alice Brooks, Eli Ressler and Owen Ressler; sister, Eunice Covey of Snowville; sister-in-law, Sylvia Marshall of Radford; several nieces and nephews including Rudolph Shelburne of Radford and Peggy Simpkins of Christiansburg; numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the Radford Church of Christ. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm with Mr. John Croft and Mr. Craig Ressler officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
