Gertha Gallimore Hollandsworth, 98 of Radford, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at her sons home in Powhatan. She was the oldest member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Asa Clayton Hollandsworth and two daughters, Betty H. Greenwood and Darlene H. Roop. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Paul and Barbara Hollandsworth of Powhatan; a son-in-law Gerald Roop of Dublin; grandchildren and their spouses, Debbie and Danny Gasser of Mechanicsville, Joy and David Flester of White Stone, Clay and Michelle Hollandsworth of Littleton, CO, Michael and Linda Roop of Radford, and Malcolm and Connie Roop of Downington, PA; great-grandchildren Amanda and Megan Gasser, Stephanie and Kristina Roop, Paul Breedlove, Julie and Coulter Kora, Brian Hollandsworth and Kevin Roop; a great great grandchild Shane Roop; and a sister Frances Boone of Charlottesville. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor O. D. Morgan, Pastor Brian Cockram and Rev. Bill Hardison officiating. Interment will follow in the John Hollandsworth Cemetery in Floyd County. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
