Gerald Wayne Root, 79, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. He attended Valley Bible Church Radford and worked in property management. Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Root; daughter and son-in-law, Karin and David Biggins; sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Jennifer Barber, Jr., Michael and Pamela Barber, and Jesse and Dawn Barber; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
