Gerald "Jerry" Junior Bane, 74, Husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 13, 2021. Jerry was born and raised in Parrott, Va. which was always home to him no matter where he lived. He worked many years as a pipe insulator for various companies and retired from RAAP. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Leander and Bertha Bane and his daughter, Angela Bane Tuck. He is survived by his wife Sherry Bane; two sisters, Mary Ann Chinault (Robert) of Belspring and Shirley Simpson of Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Deborah Bane of Brooksville, Fla. and daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Wayne Nelson of Christiansburg; 5 grandchildren, Tory Tuck Fillinger (Phillip), Brandy Aviles (Dony), Taylor Tuck, Logan Adkins and Grace Nelson; 4 great grandchildren, Liam, Brayden, Ellie and Declan; many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 pm on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. Flowers are appreciated or the family requests that contributions be made in Geralds memory to Heartland Hospice in Roanoke.
