Georgia Turner Thomas, 88, of Radford, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Manassas Health & Rehab. She was a lifelong member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pearl Gaines and her husband, William Bruce Thomas. Survivors include her nieces, Jean Davis of Fredericksburg, Va., Tanya Gunn of Waldorf, Md., Patricia Minor of Warrenton, Va., Janice OBanion of New Baltimore, Va., Glenda Turner of Warrenton Va., and her two nephews Major and Tommy Gaines of Warrenton, Va. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Eric Ramey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Fairlawn.
