George Wilmer Woodard, Jr., 84, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at his home in Dublin. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marines and formerly worked at AT&T, RAAP and Lynchburg Foundry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Ann Woodard; parents; sister, Peggy Scarborough; brother, Richard Woodard; cousin, Marion Earle; and granddaughter, Cheyenne Woodard. Survivors include his daughters, Elaine Woodard and fianc, Shawn Fuller of Dublin, and Eleanor Lester and husband, Curtis of Shiloh; grandchildren, Joseph, Haven, Ayden, R. G., Jace, Drew and Katie; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
