George Burke Taylor, 91 of Radford, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2008. He was born in Russell County to the late Richard and Mary Taylor. He worked many years in the coal mines at Dante, VA and was a retired carpenter. He is preceded in death by his first wife Glenna Milton Taylor and two sons Ronnie and George Harvey Taylor and a great great- granddaughter Shay Carter. Survivors include wife, Bonita Sharon Taylor of Radford; daughter and son-in-law, Helen and James P. Harless of Fairlawn; two grandchild sons and spouse, Jimmy Harless of Christiansburg; Jeffery and Kathy Harless of Fairlawn; five granddaughters, two step children and spouses, Chris and Etta Carter of Snowville; Sherri and Barry Dickens of Max Meadows, two great great-granddaughters;; 10 step grandchildren; very special great great-grandson Memphis Carter; and several nieces and nephews; special nephew and spouse, Paul and Loretta Johnson of Ironto, VA; Special thanks to Ronnie and Brad Nester and Cory Bentley for their help many times in Georges last days. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday July 10, 2008 at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin with Rev. Ronnie Duncan officiating. The Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The Taylor family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
