George Thomas "Buster" Simpkins, 90, of Radford, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a retired barber. Buster was preceded in death in December by his wife of 68 years, Maleita Simpkins; his parents, Lemon and Mamie Simpkins; stepmother, Christaleen Simpkins; brothers, Lee and Benny Simpkins; sisters, Katherine Dalton, Rindy Thornton and Eva ODell; brothers, Joe, Harold and Elwood Simpkins; and sister, Judy Brightwell .
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jackie Moore, and Linda and Kelly Southern; grandchildren, Steven (Elizabeth) Moore, Gregory (Lin) Moore, and Heather and Carrie Stultz; 6 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Avery and Shirley Simpkins of Fairlawn, J. D. Simpkins of Radford, and Brady and Judith Simpkins of Fairlawn; sister, Taxi Fagg; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Jerry Simpkins and Rev. Ted Farmer officiating. Interment will follow full military honors at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
