Genola Fern Podvojski, 85 of Radford, passed away Friday, October 12, 2007. She was born January 9, 1922 in Campton, KY the daughter of the late Ezekiel Preston and Chloe Maude Chrisman Hobbs. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Linda Turpin of Detroit, MI; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Dennis Stephens of Radford; a brother and sister-in-law, Harrison and Leona Hobbs of Dublin; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Bennett Collier of Radford, Reva and Chuck Chappell of Great Fall, MT, Geneva Kiser of Sterling, and Mavis Collier of Richmond; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness on Tyler Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness, 1110 Tyler Avenue, Radford, VA 24141. The Podvojski family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
