Gayle Bremner Gardiner, 91, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014. She was a member of Grove United Methodist Church for 60 years and retired from Pulaski County Schools after teaching 1st grade for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph E. and Hazel Bremner, and her husband of 49 years, Theodore Warren Gardiner. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Dan and Linda Gardiner of Radford, and Robert L. Gardiner of Hudson, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Janet G. and Charlie Bateman of Ocala, FL; grandchildren and their spouses, Rich Gardiner, Jennifer and Marc Nay, Christopher and Nikki Bateman, Jonathan and Mandy Bateman, Julia and Robert Faile, Jessica and Will White, and Jon Harrison; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen Lane officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Grove UM Church General Fund.
