?Gary Wayne McNeil, 56, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at his home in Fairlawn. He was a member of the Newbern Community Christian Church in Dublin, Henry Clay Masonic Lodge #280 A.F. & A.M. in Dublin and was an employee of Volvo Trucks North America. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served as a medic during the Vietnam Era. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Gordon McNeil. Survivors include his wife, Nina Goad McNeil of Fairlawn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregg and Christy McNeil of Greensboro, NC, and Wess and Theresa McNeil of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons, Griffin Coy McNeil and Parker Ryan McNeil; his mother, Billie E. McNeil of Radford; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Michael ONeil of Huntington Beach, CA; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Edith Goad of Radford; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Turney and Carolyn Goad of Maryland, and Roger and Pam Goad of Radford; a sister-in-law and her husband, Della and John Poff of Trigg; and many other special relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newbern Community Christian Church in Dublin with Minister Ernie Depew officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where members of V. F. W. Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, members of Henry Clay Masonic Lodge #280 A.F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic Rites at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Newbern Community Christian Church Building Fund or the Youth Program, 5382 Grace Street, Dublin, VA 24084. The McNeil family is in the care of the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
