Garland Rosi Gale McDaniel, 53, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his home in Radford. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and employed at the RAAP. He was preceded in death by his parents Garland Hale and Mary Ruby Medley McDaniel. Survivors include his wife Barbara Thomas McDaniel of Radford; two sons and daughter-in-law, James and Kelly McDaniel of Dublin and John McDaniel of Radford; daughter Mary Lynn McDaniel of Radford; grandson Patrick Marchbanks; brother and sister-in-law Delbert and Evangeline McDaniel of Dublin; and two sisters and brothers-in-law Joyce and Robert Pack and Cosbie and Ray Bishop, all of Christiansburg. The family would like to thank special friends Pam and Cindy of Carilion Hospice. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 2 pm at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. The McDaniel family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
