Frank Elbert Pannell, 80 of Radford, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007. He retired from Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. and was a veteran in both the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Army having served during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille B. Pannell. Survivors include two daughters Elaine Pannell of Rochelle, IL and Ilaine Jessup and her husband Thomas of Yorkville, IL; two sisters Annie Clayton of Richmond and Ethyl Croy of Christiansburg; and a brother Thomas J. Pannell of Shawsville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Ersel Alderman officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin where members of V. F. W. Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Mullins Funeral Home. The Pannell family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
